Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrive Myrtle Beach – Choice of Dinner Shows
Arrive today in Myrtle Beach, SC for three nights of oceanfront lodging. Choose one of the following: Pirates Voyage, Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament, Polynesian Luau & Fire Dinner Show, or one of the area’s Murder Mystery Dinner Shows. (B,D)
Day 2 – Hopsewee Plantation with Lowcountry Lunch – Brookgreen Gardens – The Market Common – Choice of Evening Show
This morning, head Georgetown, SC for a tour of the Hopsewee Plantation. Built circa 1740, some 40 years before the American Revolutionary War, Hopsewee Plantation was one of the South’s major rice plantations and the birthplace of Thomas Lynch, Jr., one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence. Following your tour, enjoy lunch in the River Oak Cottage Tea Room at Hopsewee. This Lowcountry Lunch full of South Carolina favorites.
The afternoon features a tour of serene Brookgreen Gardens, part of a 6000-acre estate that was once four rice plantations. More than 500 works of American sculptors are on display in the gardens, as well as wildlife and historical exhibits of South Carolina animals and artifacts.
Next, stop at The Market Common for shopping and dinner on own. The Market Common is a place where you can experience exceptional shopping and dining in a beautifully-designed village setting. Along tree-lined avenues, you’ll find the nation’s biggest and most celebrated names in retail to one-of-a-kind boutiques. Enjoy cuisine from the area’s best chefs at one of eleven popular restaurants, or take in a movie at the most comfortable theater at the beach.
Tonight, you have your choice of evening show. Choose from the following shows: The Carolina Opry, The Alabama Theatre, Legends in Concert, GTS Theatre, the Broadway Theater or Greg Rowles Legacy Theatre. (B,L)
Day 3 – Morning for Beach – Winery Tour & Tasting – Barefoot Landing – Dinner Cruise
Enjoy a leisurely morning today for the Beach.
Also included today will be a Deluxe Wine Tasting, offered at the North Myrtle Beach Duplin Winery location, makers of America’s favorite Muscadine wine. The tasting allows you to sample up to 10 preselected wines while you learn about the flavors and history of each wine. You also enjoy delicious gourmet crackers and dip, and a glass of wine after the tasting is completed.
The afternoon features free time for shopping at Barefoot Landing. Featuring national retail shops, quaint boutiques, an impressive selection of restaurants and eateries. Unique shops such as: Tiki Jim’s, the Okive Shoppe, Tassa Cabana, The Mole Hole, Dixie Outfitters, Christmas Mouse and Crabby Jack’s General Store to name a few. And there are plenty of places to crab some lunch: Castano’s Italian Steakhouse, Cafe’ de Paris, Dick’s Last Resort, Flying Fish Public Market & Grill, TBonz Gill & Grill to name a few. You will also have time for lunch on your own.
End the day with a dinner cruise on the Barefoot Queen Riverboat. Head to the Barefoot Marina to hop on board the Barefoot Queen Riverboat to cruise the Intracoastal Waterway. While aboard this 70 foot authentic wooden riverboat with 2 cooled/heated interior decks and three outdoor deck spaces, you will be able to enjoy the scenery, the history of the area and the wonderful fresh air. Enjoy a delicious three-course meal, entertainment and narration on this cruise. (B,D)
