Itinerary
Day 1 – Myrtle Beach, SC – Dinner Show
Arrive today in Myrtle Beach, SC where you enjoy a four-night stay at an oceanfront hotel. Tonight, enjoy the dinner show of your choice. Choose one of the following: Pirates Voyage, Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament, Polynesian Luau & Fire Dinner Show, or one of the area’s Murder Mystery Dinner Shows. (D)
Day 2 – Saltwater Marsh Eco Tour – Afternoon at Brookgreen Gardens w/lunch – Sunset Cruise
Start the day with a Saltwater Marsh Eco Tour in Murrells Inlet. This 2-hour narrated tour travels through the marsh with a naturalist, learning about the SC Coast and the beautiful saltwater estuary.
Next, enjoy an afternoon at Brookgreen Gardens. This National Historic Landmark is part of a 6000-acre estate that was once four rice plantations. More than 500 works of American sculptors are on display in the gardens, as well as wildlife and historical exhibits of South Carolina animals and artifacts.
Today, you will enjoy an included lunch under the live oak trees, a guided tour of the gardens and a creek excursion. Pass historic rice fields, now home to alligators, waterfowl, and osprey as your guide helps you see the distinctive landscape of the rice plantations and understand the role of enslaved Africans in the cultivation of the rice crop and the shaping of the history of the Lowcountry.
Dinner is included this evening at a local restaurant. End the day with a Sunset Cruise originating from the Murrells Inlet Marsh Walk. Cruise through the Inlet and into the ocean for gorgeous views as the sun sets over the marsh in Murrells Inlet. The crew will offer details about the local sea life along the way! (B,L,D)
Day 3 – Myrtle Beach History Trolley Tour – Barefoot Queen Riverboat w/lunch – Free Time at Barefoot Landing – Seafood Dinner – Carolina Opry Show
This morning, meet a local guide for a guided trolley tour. Hear the story of Myrtle Beach’s coming of age in the mid-20th century to present day, the movies that were made or premiered there, and the role that Myrtle Beach played in music history. Stops include the new Historic District and a Green Book listing, The Fitzgerald Motel at Charlie’s Place Historic Site.
Then enjoy a sightseeing cruise on the Barefoot Queen Riverboat along the Intracoastal Waterway. While aboard this 70 foot authentic wooden riverboat with 2 cooled/heated interior decks and three outdoor deck spaces, you will be able to enjoy the scenery, the history of the area and the wonderful fresh air. A boxed lunch will be included with your cruise.
The afternoon features free time at Barefoot Landing. You will find national retail shops, quaint boutiques, an impressive selection of restaurants and eateries. Unique shops such as: Tiki Jim’s, the Okive Shoppe, Tassa Cabana, The Mole Hole, Dixie Outfitters, Christmas Mouse and Crabby Jack’s General Store to name a few.
Dinner is included this evening at Original Benjamins Calabash Seafood. Find all your seafood favorites such as fried, broiled, and steamed shrimp, fried oysters, scallops, flounder, smoked salmon crab cakes, broiled mahi-mahi and more along with all you can eat Alaskan snow crabs. You will also find beef, chicken, pastas and much more in the 170 item buffet.
This evening, you enjoy a Low Country Boil at a local restaurant followed by another show at the Carolina Opry. The Time Warp features the best music of the 60s, 70s, and 80s, and is blended with rich multimedia screens, special effects, and elaborate costuming. This fast-paced, high-energy show will take you back to the decades that brought us the best in American popular music! (B,L,D)
Day 4 – Morning Dolphin Cruise – Lunch at Captain Archie’s – Alligator Adventure – Wine Tasting – Greg Rowles Legacy Show
After breakfast this morning, enjoy a two-hour Dolphin Cruise. This tour will encompass three distinct experiences starting with a narrated cruise up the Intracoastal waterway. Then picking up speed and passing several uninhabited islands as well as the jetty heading out into the ocean. The second part of the tour is heading into the ocean to find and view the dolphins, and the third part is picking up speed to view the beautiful coastline.
Lunch will be included today at Captain Archie’s on the Intracoastal Waterway. The restaurant is the ultimate spot for delicious food, the freshest seafood, and a great place to watch boats cruise to create the perfect vibe.
Next, visit the Alligator Adventure located next to Barefoot Landing. At Alligator Adventure you’ll find yourself face to face with nature’s fiercest and most beautiful animals. Alligator Adventure is one of the largest facilities for reptile life in the world!
Also included this afternoon is a Wine Tasting at the Duplin Winery. Duplin are the makers of America’s favorite Muscadine wine. The tasting allows you to sample up to 10 wines on the tasting sheet and enjoy delicious gourmet crackers and dip. Plus, you get to keep your Duplin wine glass and have a serving of wine afterwards from the tasting sheet.
Dinner is included this evening at a local restaurant followed by a show at the Greg Rowles Legacy Theatre. Tonight, you’ll experience a two-act variety show with a blend of so many genres from country, to crooners, to classic rock, beach music and sing-along favorites. Greg is joined on stage by legendary Myrtle Beach entertainers Chris and Jason Cox, as well as Cyndi Wheeler for The Legacy Show. Kenny Duncan will lead the Legacy Band of incomparable musicians through a cavalcade of live music that will transport you to a place and time and even some fun comedy and musical surprises along the way. Added touch of fun… you, the audience, get the opportunity to request songs for each and every show, so no two shows will ever be the same! (B,L,D)
