Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrive Myrtle Beach – Wine & Paint Party
Arrive today in Myrtle Beach for three nights of oceanfront lodging. Dinner is included this evening at a local restaurant.
After dinner, you enjoy a Wine & Paint Party. What’s better than toasting to a good time with friends? A Wine & Paint Part is a fun way to create memories and masterpieces and enjoy a glass of wine. Glasses, canvases, and paintbrushes are provided and a local artist guides you through the party, stroke-by-stroke. All you need to bring is the wine. (D)
Day 2 – Brookgreen Gardens – Hopsewee Plantation Southern Tea – Atalaya Castle – Dinner Cruise
Today, enjoy a morning tour of serene Brookgreen Gardens, part of a 6000-acre estate that was once four rice plantations. More than 500 works of American sculptors are on display in the gardens, as well as wildlife and historical exhibits of South Carolina animals and artifacts.
Next, you head to Hopsewee Plantation for an afternoon tour and Southern Tea. Built circa 1740, some 40 years before the American Revolutionary War, Hopsewee Plantation was one of the South’s major rice plantations and the birthplace of Thomas Lynch, Jr., one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence.
Following your tour, you visit the River Oak Cottage Tea Room for an afternoon Southern Tea. The Plantation’s Southern Tea is modeled after an English Afternoon Tea served in three courses. Several varieties of teas, sandwiches, scones and treats are passed at the table for you to enjoy.
The afternoon features visit to Atalaya Castle located at Huntington Beach State Park. This expansive structure once served at the winter home for the founders of Brookgreen Gardens – Archer and Anna Huntington. The original estate was designed by the couple with their own unique touches and featured 30 rooms with a Spanish-inspired design. Now you can enter the state park and walk through what remains of this stunning property along with photographs and a rich, detailed history of the home and all of the changes its seen.
End the day with a relaxing dinner cruise on the Barefoot Queen Riverboat. Cruise down the Intracoastal Waterway on the Barefoot Queen, South Carolina’s newest Riverboat attraction! Sit back, relax, and enjoy dinner as you let the gentle waves carry you past the stunning million-dollar homes that line the coast. As you glide through the serene waters, let our talented entertainer serenade you with captivating tunes and regale you with fascinating facts of the Waterway’s rich history. Immerse yourself in the breathtaking natural beauty that surrounds you. (B,D)
Day 3 – Myrtle Beach Art Museum Guided Tour – Broadway at the Beach – Choice of Evening Show
This morning, you tour the Franklin G. Burroughs – Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum, housed in a 1924 converted beach cottage. The museum is dedicated to being one of the finest visual arts museums in the Carolinas. There are variety of exhibitions, changing every three to four months, an extensive permanent collection of regional artwork and historical maps, and a fine arts resource library. An art seminar may also be included (as available). This might include a gallery talk by an exhibiting artist, a workshop in the art studio or a watercolor class.
Enjoy some free time this afternoon for shopping and lunch on own at Broadway at the Beach. As a Mecca of Myrtle Beach shopping, dining and nightlife, it’s no surprise that Broadway at the Beach also features plenty of art.
Located within this massive complex are several public art pieces including bugs, dinosaurs, sea life and a fun collection of bronze children’s statues playing in the facility’s plaza and fountains. If you prefer paint and canvas, you can explore Master’s Edition Art Gallery featuring the works of well-known artists Mark Keathley, Abraham Hunter, Rod Chase, and Jess Wathen. Plus, there’s plenty of artistic touches throughout the area including fun selfie spots, artistic hedges and interesting signage galore.
Tonight, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant followed by a show of your choice. (B,D)

- Greg Rowles Legacy Theatre – At the Greg Rowles Legacy Theatre, you’ll experience a two-act variety show with a blend of so many genres from country, to crooners, to classic rock, beach music and sing-along favorites. Greg is joined on stage by legendary Myrtle Beach entertainers Chris and Jason Cox, as well as Cyndi Wheeler for The Legacy Show. Kenny Duncan will lead the Legacy Band of incomparable musicians through a cavalcade of live music that will transport you to a place and time and even some fun comedy and musical surprises along the way. Added touch of fun… you, the audience, get the opportunity to request songs for each and every show, so no two shows will ever be the same!
Day 4 – Depart for Home
