Itinerary
Day 1 – Charleston, SC – Horse-Drawn Carriage Ride
Arrive today in Charleston, SC. Check into your hotel for a two night stay. This is followed by a Horse Drawn Carriage tour of the historic district. Your guide will be dressed in a Confederate uniform will inform and entertain you with historical facts, lore, and humor about this 300 year old city.
Tonight, enjoy an authentic local dinner at the Charleston Crab House. The restaurant has been family owned and operated for over 27 years! The James Island location is waterfront and has amazing views of Wappoo Creek. All of the menu items are made with the freshest ingredients, from the greens in the salads to the seafood on your plate. (D)
Day 2 – Magnolia House & Gardens w/Tram Tour – Old City Market – Charleston Tea Plantation Tour – Dinner at Poogan’s Porch
Start the day with a morning tour of the Magnolia Plantation & Gardens, a home that has survived the centuries and witnessed the history of our nation unfold before it from the American Revolution through the Civil War and more.
This 500-acre estate was acquired in 1676 by the Drayton family, whose heirs still own and manage it. The 60-acre garden, one of America’s oldest, dates from around 1680 and contains 900 varieties of camellias, 250 types of azaleas and hundreds of other flowering species providing year-round color.
Built in the Greek Revival style, the plantation house depicts life since the Civil War and displays Early American antiques and rare botanical and ornithological prints and books.
Also included with your visit is the Nature Train Tour which covers Magnolia’s wetlands, forests, marsh, and swamp. While riding, you’ll learn about the native plants and animals of the Lowcountry, as well as the history of rice cultivation and phosphate mining at Magnolia. Your guide will point out birds, alligators, turtles, and more.
Next, enjoy some free time for shopping and lunch on own at Old City Market. It’s four blocks of open-air buildings where you will encounter a wide assortment of vendors selling high quality products including paintings, pottery, Charleston’s famous sweetgrass baskets, plus both casual and fine dining for lunch.
The afternoon features a tour of the Charleston Tea Plantation. It is the home of American Classic Tea, the ONLY tea grown in America. Located on picturesque Wadmalaw Island in the heart of South Carolina’s Lowcountry. Here you will learn first-hand how tea is made during an informative Factory
Tour, then take an enjoyable Trolley Ride through the tea fields and help yourself to all of the iced American Classic Tea you can drink.
Enjoy dinner this evening at the charming Poogan’s Porch, one of Charleston’s oldest and most reputable culinary establishments serving upscale, Lowcountry cuisine. (B,D)
Day 3 – Myrtle Beach, SC – Oceanfront Lodging – Free Time for Beach – Choice of Dinner Show
Travel today takes you to Myrtle Beach, SC where you enjoy two nights of oceanfront lodging. The remainder of the day is free for you to enjoy the beach.
Tonight, you have your choice of Dinners Shows. Choose one of the following: Pirates Voyage, Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament, Polynesian Luau & Fire Dinner Show, Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre at House of Blues, Riga-Tony’s Murder Mystery Dinner Show, or Murder At The Cotton Club: a Whodunnit Murder Mystery Dinner Show at Asher Theatre. - The Pirate’s Voyage Dinner & Show – This is Dolly Parton’s interactive and entertaining dinner show. You receive a savory Pirate meal while watching swashbuckling buccaneers battling it out on the high seas.
- Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament – Here you travel back in time to the 11th century. Serfs and Wenches keep the feast moving as Knights joust on horseback to win the attention and favor of the royal princess.
- Polynesian Luau and Fire Dinner Show – Get fired up for this authentic Polynesian luau and fire dinner show performed at St. John’s Inn within Caravelle Resort by a Samoan family that stems from the Polynesian village of Nu’uuli on the island of Tutuila in American Samoa. Witness native dance, warrior chants, live music, beautiful hula dancing, fire poi, and Samoan fire dancer stunts combine for one unforgettable night. On top of that, you’ll be treated to a delicious Oahu luau-style buffet dinner.
- Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre at House of Blues – Sit down in front of a three-course, Southern-inspired meal, while an interactive “who dunnnit?” murder-comedy plays out before you at House of Blues’ new Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre at Barefoot Landing. Everyone is a suspect, and the guest who solves the crime may be awarded.
- Riga-Tony’s Murder Mystery Dinner Show – You’ll come hungry and leave full of a delicious dinner of traditional lasagane Napoletana… and a taste for murder. The venue’s experience includes a few comical crimes performed that guests will have to solve. The dinner entrée is preceded by a fresh salad and closed with a creamy Italian dessert.
- MOTOWN ’59: Myrtle Beach’s Ultimate Show and Dinner at Asher Theatre – Come experience Myrtle Beach’s hottest new Motown Tribute Show – Motown ’59 The Show & Dinner featuring songs of The Temptations, The Four Tops, Stevie Wonder, The Supremes, Marvin Gaye, The Jacksons and more. This amazingly talented group will be singing the songs that we all know and love including the hits and classics from the 60’s – 90’s. Come to hear the sound that changed America and see Motown at its best at The Asher Theatre.
Day 4 – Brookgreen Gardens – Free Afternoon – Choice of Evening Show
Enjoy a morning tour of serene Brookgreen Gardens, part of a 6000-acre estate that was once four rice plantations. More than 500 works of American sculptors are on display in the gardens, as well as wildlife and historical exhibits of South Carolina animals and artifacts.
You will have free time this afternoon for a little shopping or just relaxing on the beach.
Tonight, enjoy dinner followed by your choice of evening show. (B,D)

Greg is joined on stage by legendary Myrtle Beach entertainers Chris and Jason Cox, as well as Cyndi Wheeler for The Legacy Show. Kenny Duncan will lead the Legacy Band of incomparable musicians through a cavalcade of live music that will transport you to a place and time and even some fun comedy and musical surprises along the way.
